For all of the aggressive players out there, Black Ops 6 introduced the perfect Perk in Season 2 Reloaded.
In addition to the 21 Perks included at launch, BO6 added three new options in seasonal updates. Shrapnel Radar and Shadow were the first to join the lineup, but neither became top choices.
Shadow makes you undetectable to traps and mines, while Shrapnel Radar reveals enemies on the minimap when they are impacted by tacticals, lethals, and field upgrades. Both are incredibly situational and fail to offer as broad of benefits as other Perks in their slot.

The ability makes it easier for aggressive players to fly around the map without being slowed down by Tac-Sprint’s slow sprint-to-fire speed, and Hunter’s Instinct is an ideal ability to partner it with.
What is Hunter’s Instinct in Black Ops 6?
Hunter’s Instinct briefly marks the next closest enemy on your mini-map after an elimination. The Perk also shows the general direction of your next nearest foe.

How to unlock Hunter’s Instinct in BO6

Players unlock Hunter’s Instinct through the Armory. Here is everything you need to know about finding the feature.
- Open the main menu and head to the Barracks tab
- Navigate to the ‘Challenges‘ page
- From here, select the Armony.
In the Armory, you must select Hunter’s Instinct to activate it as your next unlock. From there, you need 100,000 XP to unlock the Perk. The fastest way to earn XP in multiplayer is to activate a Double XP token and play the small-map or 24-7 Bullet playlist because it’s easier to get high-elimination matches and earn more XP on smaller maps since there is more action.

Hunter’s Instinct is the best Perk 2 option and is worth using, regardless of your playstyle. You could argue for Tracker because it reveals the footprints of enemies or Fast Hands since it improves how fast you switch to your secondary weapon.
Despite that, Hunter’s Instinct is more beneficial because knowing where the next closest enemy is, and their direction allows you to prepare for the subsequent gunfight or catch them off-guard.
